Morpho's UV Desktop Printer Debuts at IFA After $10M Kickstarter Raise

Berlin – September 10, 2026 -- Morpho, a UV printing technology company, unveiled its first UV desktop printer at IFA 2026 in Hall 17-196, following a Kickstarter campaign that surpassed $10 million from more than 2,800 backers worldwide.

Morpho's UV printer applies industrial-grade color and texture to wood, glass, leather and metal

The device is G7 Master ColorSpace certified, a standard Morpho says ensures consistent color reproduction across different materials. Its industrial-grade print head layers fine ink deposits to create tactile, relief-style surfaces while operating at carriage speeds of up to 600 mm/s.

A moving-gantry design fits a full-size print chamber into a desktop footprint

The printer's gantry moves along both axes, allowing a fully enclosed print chamber large enough for varied objects while keeping the overall unit desk-sized. Visitors at the IFA booth, including creatives, educators and technology specialists, tested live demonstrations on unprinted sample materials provided on-site.

An integrated alignment system automates setup for first-time users

The built-in Stereo Vision Smart Alignment system scans an object's height and contours automatically, while guided workflows in Morpho Studio software are designed to reduce setup time from concept to print. Early users at the show cited print quality, the compact footprint and ease of use as the three most frequently noted features.

Founder cites DJI R&D background as company scales community feedback loop

Morpho founder Mingyu "Brett" Wang, a former global head of research and development at DJI, said the company maintains direct contact with its user community to collect feedback and implement rapid product improvements. The team said the printer program has been in development for several years, aimed at making UV printing a practical tool for everyday creative use by makers and small businesses.
