San Francisco – October 21, 2026 -- IA Interior Architects, a global interior design and architecture firm founded 42 years ago, is dropping "Interior Architects" from its name and will operate solely as IA as it expands services beyond corporate interiors.

The rename comes with a new logo and a rebuilt website, IA.design. The firm says the changes reflect a broader practice that has diversified over the past decade.

IA has built out hospitality, retail and four commercial sectors over ten years

Over the past decade, the firm invested in its hospitality and retail practices. It also widened its commercial market sectors to include aviation, healthcare and advanced manufacturing. IA reports that all three commercial sectors have seen strong organic growth, though the source gives no revenue or headcount figures.
