Integris Wins Armour Supply for Four Finnish Pohjanmaa-Class Corvettes

Rauma – October 27, 2026 -- Integris has been selected to supply naval ballistic protective systems for four vessels under construction for Finland's Squadron 2020 modernisation programme at Rauma Marine Constructions.

Integris joined the design process at the earliest stage

Integris engineers worked with the shipbuilder's project team from the start of ship design. The aim was to integrate survivability solutions while holding strict weight and performance targets.

Jari Nieminen, Programme Director at Rauma Marine Constructions, said the protection was integrated into the design to meet survivability requirements "without compromising speed, range, or payload."

TransCore wins Sydney's first tagless tolling contract

Nashville – October 27, 2026 -- TransCore has won a contract from Transport for New South Wales (TfNSW) to supply the tolling system for Sydney's Western Harbour Tunnel. It is the company's first tolling deployment in Australia and the country's first tagless, video-only tolling system.

TransCore will deploy its Infinity Digital Lane System with video analytics

The multi-lane free-flow system uses video analytics with overhead detection to detect, identify and classify vehicles at highway speeds. It needs no in-pavement sensors, which TransCore says simplifies maintenance and cuts costs. New machine learning capabilities automate vehicle classification and image processing, reducing manual intervention and operating costs while improving accuracy.

Nashville – October 27, 2026 -- TransCore has won a nearly six-year, $146 million contract to run back-office and customer service operations for the RiverLink tolling system on the Louisville–Southern Indiana Ohio River Bridges Project. The Louisville-Southern Indiana Ohio River Bridges (LSIORB) Joint Board, representing Kentucky and Indiana, selected the company as its new toll service provider.

TransCore will deploy its cloud-based Integrity Back Office System

The Integrity® Back Office System is built for high-volume transaction processing, AI-enabled workflows and flexible customer service operations. TransCore will handle account management, invoicing, image review and customer service.

Customer support will include walk-up service centers in both states and a locally based call center. The states aim for a more consistent and reliable customer experience across the Ohio River Bridges corridor.

SpiderOak Wins SDA SBIR to Put Zero-Trust Encryption in Orbit

RESTON, VA – October 27, 2026 -- The Space Development Agency (SDA) has awarded SpiderOak a Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) contract to deliver the first zero-trust security architecture deployed in orbit, according to the company.

The award covers a High-Assurance Internet Protocol Encryptor (HAIPE) enhanced with microsegmentation. It will run across the on-orbit "red" networks of SDA's Network Established Beyond the Upper Limits of the Atmosphere (NEBULA), part of the Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture (PWSA). Contract value and delivery timelines were not disclosed.

Decentralized authentication moves to the satellite edge

The program brings decentralized identity-based authentication and authorization to orbit. Policy decisions and enforcement happen locally at the edge, an approach intended to keep networks available in contested environments.

Pinnacle Solutions Wins $24M USMC Amphibious Vehicle Training Deal

HERNDON, Va. – October 27, 2026 -- Akima subsidiary Pinnacle Solutions has won a $24 million Other Transactional Authority (OTA) award from U.S. Marine Corps Systems Command to build virtual reality maintenance trainers for the Amphibious Combat Vehicle (ACV) fleet. The total value assumes all options are exercised over a 30-month period of performance.

Marine Corps moves prototype winner into production

Pinnacle's prototype was selected on performance, innovation and alignment with mission needs. The government then used its authority to transition the effort into a follow-on production award, which lets Pinnacle scale delivery and support rapid operational deployment.

The ACV Suite of Maintenance Training Systems replaces conventional classroom instruction with immersive, hands-on tools. The Marine Corps aims to accelerate technician proficiency and improve operational readiness.

Reston, Va. – October 25, 2026 -- SpiderOak has won a contract from the Program Office for U.S. Army Unmanned Aircraft Systems (PMO UAS) to run supply chain analysis and cybersecurity assessments for multiple vendors in the Army's Drone Dominance Program (DDP).

SpiderOak applies its ACTRA methodology to DDP platforms

As a Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) Blue UAS Recognized Assessor, SpiderOak will use its Advanced Cyber Threat & Resilience Assessments (ACTRA) to test participating platforms for supply chain integrity, cyber resilience and compliance with U.S. Government security requirements.

The evaluations cover hardware, firmware, software and component provenance. They are designed to identify vulnerabilities and validate compliance with NDAA and NIST requirements before systems are fielded. For UAS programs, ACTRA also examines ownership structures and supports compliance with NIST 800-171, NIST 800-53 and Executive Order 14028.

Army Awards Javelin JV $215M for Lightweight Command Launch Unit

Tucson – October 19, 2026 -- The U.S. Army has awarded the Javelin Joint Venture (JJV), a partnership between Raytheon, an RTX business, and Lockheed Martin, a $215 million production contract for the Lightweight Command Launch Unit (LWCLU), the next-generation launcher for the Javelin weapon system.

The LWCLU replaces the legacy command launch unit. The award follows by five months the JJV's delivery of the first LWCLUs to the Army.

New launcher is 30% smaller and 25% lighter than the Block I unit

Compared with the current Block I Command Launch Unit, the LWCLU is 30% smaller and 25% lighter. It also doubles target detection and recognition. The unit is built to give soldiers maximum surveillance and offers day and night engagement capability.

The launcher is designed to be compatible with all current, past and future Javelin variants.

Tech7 Wins SpaceWERX SBIR Phase II Award for Space Force LEO Testbed

Colorado Springs – October 19, 2026 -- The Tech7 Company has won a Direct to Phase II Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) contract, facilitated by SpaceWERX, to develop the Proliferated LEO Agile Testbed Environment (PLATE) for the U.S. Space Force. Work under the award is scheduled to begin in October.

PLATE targets data pipelines never built for proliferated LEO volumes

The Space Force's shift to proliferated Low Earth Orbit (pLEO) constellations will put hundreds of distributed sensors online, each generating continuous, low-latency data streams that must be processed and acted on in near real time. Today's stove-piped, mission-specific data pipelines were not designed for that load, and PLATE is meant to close the gap.

SpaceWERX, the Space Force's innovation arm, awarded more than 300 contracts totaling $510 million in fiscal year 2025.

Widerøe Adopts De Havilland Canada's 1,200-Hour Dash 8-400 A-Check

Farnborough – October 18, 2026 -- Widerøe has become the launch customer for De Havilland Canada's Dash 8-400 A-Check Escalation Program, which extends scheduled A-Check intervals from 800 to 1,200 flight hours across the Scandinavian carrier's fleet of 17 aircraft.

Widerøe becomes first Dash 8-400 operator to adopt the extended interval

De Havilland Aircraft of Canada Limited announced the agreement with Widerøe, which it describes as Scandinavia's largest regional airline. Implementation is underway and is expected to finish within the next 12 months.

The 50% longer interval cuts the number of routine A-Check inspections each aircraft requires. De Havilland Canada says the program maintains safety and airworthiness standards.
