CLEAR Brings CLEAR1 Caller Verification to Amazon Connect

New York – October 12, 2026 -- CLEAR (NYSE: YOU) has integrated its CLEAR1 secure identity platform with Amazon Web Services' Amazon Connect, allowing contact centers to verify a caller's identity before or during a support interaction.

The integration targets fraud, impersonation and high-friction verification, which the company identifies as weak points in contact center support. Organizations can place identity checks earlier in the support journey, before the customer speaks with an agent.

Callers verify via SMS link before reaching an agent

When a customer calls a support center powered by Amazon Connect, they can choose to verify through CLEAR. Customers who opt in receive a secure SMS link and complete verification on their phone. The call is then routed to an agent, who sees the verification result in real time.

Alkami Banks Stop $263M in Fraud in 2025 Using BioCatch

Plano, Texas – October 09, 2026 -- Financial institutions using BioCatch through the Alkami Digital Banking Platform prevented more than $263 million in fraud during 2025, according to data shared by BioCatch and announced by Alkami Technology, Inc. (Nasdaq: ALKT).

BioCatch scores every banking session for account takeover risk

BioCatch Account Takeover Protection analyzes behavioral, device and session signals in real time as account holders use digital banking. It builds a baseline of legitimate activity and flags deviations such as unusual navigation, interaction patterns or transaction behavior that may indicate a compromised account or an active takeover attempt.

Each session receives a risk score. Financial institutions set their own thresholds based on their tolerance for potential fraud, which lets them tailor responses to their security strategy.

Incognia Launches AI Agent Detection for Financial Fraud Risk

San Jose, Calif. – October 06, 2026 -- Incognia has introduced AI Agent Detection, a new capability designed to help financial institutions distinguish between a legitimate AI agent and an authorized action, as AI agents increasingly make purchases, payments and account changes on behalf of consumers.

Incognia separates agent identity from action risk

The new system combines signed-request verification, agent-origin classification, bot and automation detection and Incognia's broader risk intelligence. When additional confidence is required, financial institutions can cross-check an action against signals from a customer's trusted devices, account activity, device integrity, network and location.

"AI agents change the trust problem for financial institutions," said André Ferraz, co-founder and CEO of Incognia. "Knowing that a request came from a legitimate agent isn't the same as knowing that a specific action should be allowed."

McLean, Va. – September 19, 2026 -- ID.me and Plaid have launched a partnership allowing government agencies to verify a benefits claimant's identity and confirm their linked bank account belongs to them before disbursing funds, addressing a gap that contributed to $5.6 billion in unemployment insurance improper payments in fiscal year 2025.

Improper payment rate hit 14.9% for the fourth straight year

According to the Government Accountability Office, the 14.9 percent improper payment rate for unemployment insurance exceeded the federal standard for four consecutive years.
