TAMPA – October 29, 2026 -- John Couris, president and CEO of Florida Health Sciences Center | Tampa General Hospital (TGH), earned a place on Florida Trend's 2026 "Florida 500" list for the sixth consecutive year, and four other TGH-linked leaders joined him on the list.

The other honorees are Board Chair Blake Casper (CEO of Caspers Company), Vice Chair and Corporate Secretary Gregory Celestan (president of Celestar, LLC), and Immediate Past Board and Governance Chair Drew Graham (managing partner of Ballast Point Ventures). SINGAPORE – October 29, 2026 -- Singapore's Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) and the National University Hospital (NUH) have signed a Memorandum of Intent giving technology firms direct access to hospital-defined problems, in IMDA's first Open Innovation Platform (OIP) partnership with a public healthcare institution.

NUH will participate through its Kent Ridge Office of Innovation (KROI), established in April 2024. The deal connects the hospital's clinical and operational teams with the OIP network of about 21,000 innovators and solution providers, spanning startups, technology firms and research institutions. IMDA frames the tie-up as support for Singapore's National AI Strategy in key sectors such as healthcare.

Esaote joins Midea Healthcare as an independent company

Esaote becomes part of Midea's Healthcare Division but will continue to operate as an independent global medical equipment company. It stays headquartered in Genoa, with R&D and manufacturing facilities in Italy and the Netherlands. Franco Fontana remains CEO, confirmed by the new shareholders.

New York – September 30, 2026 -- Researchers at NYU Langone Health have built an artificial intelligence system that tracks the daily case exposure of radiology residents and flags missing pathologies with more than 90 percent accuracy, according to a study published online in Academic Radiology.

AI system pinpoints training gaps that traditional case logs miss

The tool monitors which conditions residents encounter during clinical rotations and automatically identifies underexposed pathologies, then assigns supplemental teaching cases to close the gap. Study author Vinay Prabhu, an associate professor in NYU Grossman School of Medicine's Department of Radiology, said residents seeing 30 cases in a day typically encounter 29 routine exams and only one uncommon condition, leaving gaps in exposure to rarer diseases they will face throughout their careers.
