A2Gold Reports Record 141.10 g/t Gold Intercept at Eastside's Castle Target

Tonopah, Nevada – September 21, 2026 -- A2Gold Corp. (TSXV: AUAU) (OTCQX: AUXXF) (FRA: RR7) reported the highest-grade gold assay to date at its Eastside Gold-Silver Project, with drill hole CAC-007 returning 141.10 g/t gold over 0.9 metres roughly 53 metres below surface.

Drill hole CAC-007 delivers 141.10 g/t gold, the strongest result yet at Eastside

The intercept, recorded at 75.9 metres downhole within the existing Castle mineral resource, is tied to an interpreted northeast-striking structural zone where Tertiary volcanic rocks meet Paleozoic sedimentary basement. The result sits along the same structural trend as previously reported high-grade surface samples at Black Rock, which returned 10.50 g/t Au over 0.26 metres and 5.63 g/t Au over 0.28 metres. A2Gold flagged the roughly 400-metre corridor between Black Rock and CAC-007 as incompletely tested and a priority for follow-up drilling.

Hole CAC-006 confirms multiple higher-grade zones tied to structural corridor

CAC-006 intersected 9.72 g/t Au over 0.6 metres within a broader 0.77 g/t Au interval spanning 23.7 metres, plus 5.66 g/t Au over 0.2 metres within a wider 0.68 g/t Au zone of 16.5 metres. Both intervals occur near favorable lithological contacts within an interpreted northwest-trending structural corridor, reinforcing the company's view that higher-grade mineralization at Castle extends beyond what earlier drilling identified.

Company shifts exploration model toward structurally controlled high-grade targets

A2Gold said the 2026 core program supports a revised geological model in which gold grades are controlled by intersecting northeast- and northwest-striking structures combined with favorable lithological and stratigraphic contacts. The company had previously characterized Castle primarily as a large, near-surface, lower-grade mineralized system.

CEO Peter Gianulis said the CAC-007 result changes how the company views Castle, noting the intercept is not viewed in isolation but alongside the Black Rock surface mineralization along the same structural trend. He said the next phase of drilling will test intersections between structural corridors and favorable stratigraphy to determine whether the high-grade occurrences form continuous vein or feeder systems.

Silver assays reveal a previously uncharacterized component of the Castle system

The 2026 program also returned broad silver intervals not systematically assayed in historical drilling, including 13.3 g/t Ag over 19.5 metres in CAC-006 and 10.3 g/t Ag over 41.6 metres in CAC-003. A2Gold said silver may represent a more significant component of the Castle mineralized system than previously recognized and plans systematic silver assaying in future drilling to inform future resource estimates.

The Eastside Gold-Silver Project, located in Esmeralda County, Nevada, is 100% owned by A2Gold. The company said future drilling will focus on infilling and extending the interpreted higher-grade trends within the current Castle resource and testing their projected extensions beyond the resource boundary.
