San Diego – September 24, 2026 -- ACROBiosystems has launched CHO-Direct, a rapid high-throughput affinity validation service that delivers antibody affinity data in as little as four days from sequence submission, alongside a broader infrastructure platform called ACRO AIx aimed at AI-driven drug discovery (AIDD).
CHO-Direct compresses antibody validation timelines to four days
Using an optimized CHO cell system, CHO-Direct converts computationally generated antibody sequences into structured affinity data within days, addressing a bottleneck where AI tools generate candidate sequences faster than labs can validate them. The service leverages the protein-folding and post-translational modification environment of mammalian cells while maintaining compatibility with CHO systems already used in downstream development and manufacturing.
Portfolio spans more than 5,000 target proteins and 300 membrane targets
ACROBiosystems has built a validation portfolio covering over 5,000 target proteins and more than 300 challenging membrane protein targets. The company is expanding high-throughput TR-FRET kits for pathway inhibition screening and reporter cell lines available for commercial licensing, extending validation into cellular models and human 3D organoids derived from induced pluripotent stem cells, including heart, brain, skin and kidney models.
ACRO AIx adds tool kits, predictive software and open APIs
Beyond the CHO-Direct service, customers can license a CHO-Direct Tool Set—comprising high-expression CHO cell lines, culture media and transfection reagents—to replicate the expression system internally. ACROBiosystems plans to introduce a CFS Tool Kit using cell-free expression for VHHs, small proteins and high-throughput exploration. Predictive tools ExpSolPredictor and SeqOptimizer use accumulated expression data to forecast soluble expression performance and inform sequence optimization for yield, stability and aggregation risk. Planned open APIs will link inventory, lead times, lot-specific quality reports and order status to R&D workflows.
Platform extends into AI-driven manufacturing and cross-border logistics
ACRO AIx also reaches into AI4CMC, applying AI to biologics manufacturing through cytokines, process-tolerant enzymes, AI protein-enhanced culture media and novel affinity ligands; ACROBiosystems has begun working with select partners to scale AI-designed proteins toward industrial applications. Separately, the company introduced GlobalLifeShip, a cross-border supply chain platform offering cross-border transportation, overseas warehousing and last-mile delivery to help partners access international life-science markets.
Company positions itself as infrastructure provider, not drug developer
ACROBiosystems states it does not develop its own drug pipeline or run end-to-end R&D projects; customers retain their molecules, intellectual property and data. The company frames ACRO AIx as open infrastructure intended to let research teams choose engagement levels based on laboratory resources and project stage.
