Aegea Secures R$1.5bn in New Financing, 2026 Total Hits R$6bn

São Paulo – – October 02, 2026 -- Brazilian sanitation group Aegea Saneamento e Participações S.A. has raised R$1.5 billion in new financing since the end of the second quarter of 2026, pushing its total disbursed funding for the year to R$6 billion.

Aegea closes three debt transactions backing regional water utilities

The company secured R$700 million in 'Ecoinvest' debentures for subsidiary Companhia Riograndense de Saneamento (CORSAN), arranged with Banco Bradesco BBI S.A. and carrying a 10-year maturity. A further R$420 million came from a three-year extension of a debenture issuance tied to Águas de Governador Valadares SPE S.A., executed with XP Investimentos. A third transaction, worth R$330 million, extended by three years a debenture issuance for Ambiental Metrosul Concessionária de Saneamento SPE S.A., arranged with Banco do Estado do Rio Grande do Sul (Banrisul).

IDB Invest mandate opens path to US$400 million for Pará operations

In September, Aegea signed a mandate with IDB Invest for up to US$400 million in long-term financing for Águas do Pará SPE S.A., with disbursements scheduled across 2027 and 2028.

Rio concessions carry fully secured long-term financing structures

Aegea confirmed that Águas do Rio 1 SPE S.A. and Águas do Rio 4 SPE S.A. have locked in complete long-term financing structures, combining capital markets transactions with funding from Brazil's national development bank BNDES, the Saneamento para Todos program, Proparco and the Inter-American Development Bank. Disbursements will track the pace of investment execution, with the company stating no refinancing of the existing structure will be required.
