Agora Unveils Voice Cloning, MCP Features for Physical AI at IFA 2026

Berlin – September 11, 2026 -- Agora, Inc. (NASDAQ: API) is showcasing new Voiceprint, Voice Cloning and Model Context Protocol (MCP) capabilities for its Conversational AI Platform at IFA 2026, extending real-time engagement technology into physical devices such as robots, wearables and vehicles.

Agora adds speaker recognition and cloned voices to move devices beyond rigid voice commands

Voiceprint allows hardware to identify individual speakers for personalized interactions, while Voice Cloning lets developers build custom or cloned voices so robots, AI companions and smart devices carry a distinct identity. MCP connects AI agents to external tools, services and data, enabling devices to retrieve information and execute tasks rather than respond with pre-set scripts.

BotStation centralizes agent configuration for hardware developers

The three features are integrated into Agora BotStation, where developers create, customize, manage and deploy AI agents for supported hardware, configuring persona, language, AI models, voice and behavior from a single console. Agora is also presenting R1 4GS, which extends conversational AI to devices connected via WiFi and cellular networks.

Partners including Seeed Studio, Espressif and Quectel demonstrate live hardware integrations

At its IFA booth, Agora is demonstrating deployments with technology and customer partners Seeed Studio, Sentino, Espressif, Speedtech, Quectel, IntelPro, Sweekar, Kata Friends and Robsen across robots, embodied AI, AI companions, smart-home and IoT devices, wearables, vehicles and industrial robots.

Takway AI cites faster development cycles using Agora's infrastructure

Irving Gao, founder and CEO of Takway AI, developer of the AI companion Sweekar, said building a natural-feeling conversational experience typically requires infrastructure his team would otherwise need to develop from scratch. He noted that using Agora's platform allows Takway AI to focus resources on Sweekar's evolving personality, memory and user relationships rather than underlying voice infrastructure.

Agora is exhibiting in Hall 5.2, Stand 509, at IFA 2026 in Berlin.
