AidKit Named to Fast Company's 2026 Top Innovator Workplaces List

Denver – September 13, 2026 -- AidKit, a Certified B Corp providing technology infrastructure for government and nonprofit aid programs, has been named to Fast Company's 2026 list of the 100 Best Workplaces for Innovators, selected from more than 1,200 applications reviewed by Fast Company editors.

AidKit's Community Advisory Council brings aid recipients into system design

The recognition centers on AidKit's Community Advisory Council (CAC), an employee-originated program that embeds people with lived experience of receiving aid directly into the design of benefit systems. The initiative grew from concerns raised by staff in product, operations and impact teams that public benefit systems are typically built for recipients rather than with them, often collecting feedback too late to improve outcomes.

Company scales AI and disaster-response infrastructure across 27 states

AidKit, founded in 2021, has partnered with more than 240 government and nonprofit organizations and distributed over $450 million in aid across 27 states. Its technology stack now incorporates AI, identity verification, fraud detection, geospatial analysis and conversational enrollment tools aimed at reducing administrative burden for program administrators.

Recent deployments include wildfire recovery assistance for workers, small businesses and families in Los Angeles; rapid cash assistance following flooding in Central Texas; and maternal and infant cash assistance in Michigan. The company's newest product, AidKit Ready, pre-positions disaster cash-assistance infrastructure -- covering technology, payment systems, compliance workflows and operational support -- so governments and nonprofits can activate aid programs quickly once funding is secured.

CEO frames innovation as a structural commitment, not a one-off initiative

"At AidKit, innovation means continually questioning how aid can be delivered better, and creating a culture where the people closest to a problem can help shape the solution," said Brittany Christenson, CEO of AidKit.

Fast Company's Fall 2026 issue, featuring the full 100-company list, is available online now and will reach newsstands on September 22, 2026.
