Allergy & Asthma Network Sets Free USAsthma Summit for Nov. 13

Fairfax – – October 19, 2026 -- Allergy & Asthma Network will hold the 12th annual USAsthma Summit on Nov. 13, 2026, in Phoenix, Arizona, with free registration for both in-person and livestream attendees.

The one-day event targets public health professionals, clinicians, asthma educators, respiratory therapists, patients, caregivers, advocates and community partners. The organizer says policymakers are considering changes that could affect access to asthma care, and the Summit is meant to address those challenges.

Summit runs alongside the ACAAI Annual Scientific Meeting in Phoenix

The event coincides with the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (ACAAI) Annual Scientific Meeting in the same city. That timing creates additional engagement opportunities for attendees, speakers and leaders in allergy, asthma and immunology.

Congressional agenda and AI debate anchor the 2026 program

A session titled "Federal Mandates, Local Realities" will cover strategic priorities for advancing asthma care delivery in the 120th Congress. Speakers are Miriam O'Day, Payel Gupta, MD, and Ashley Strozier.

Payel Gupta, MD, and Michael Blaiss, MD, will lead "The Great Digital Debate" on how AI and social media shape asthma care. Cherie Zachary, MD, FACAAI, president of ACAAI, will open with an overview of the U.S. asthma landscape.

Other sessions include:

  • Matthew Hiester of the Environmental Protection Agency on asthma-friendly environments.
  • Amanda Whitehouse, PhD, on integrating evidence-based behavioral health into asthma care.
  • Floribella Redondo-Martinez, CCHW, BS, on community health workers as care providers and research extenders.
  • Mandie Svatek, MD, on the SA Kids BREATHE advocacy and public health intervention.
  • A patient panel with Ashley Strozier, Clarissa Ruffin and Richard Redondo.
CEO Lynda Mitchell frames the Summit as a forum for solutions

Lynda Mitchell, CEO of Allergy & Asthma Network, said the program will highlight emerging science, policy developments, patient perspectives and practical strategies to improve outcomes for people with asthma.

The organizer is offering interviews with speakers and network leadership to media ahead of the event. Journalists can also request on-site coverage.
