Hangzhou – September 24, 2026 -- Amap Platform has launched Qianyu, a spatial-intelligence open platform that lets enterprises deploy location-based AI agents through natural-language prompts with no coding required. The announcement was made at the 2026 Apsara Conference in Hangzhou.
Qianyu packs 80 million points of interest into machine-readable agents
As of August 2026, the platform integrates more than 80 million POIs, over 5 million kilometers of roads and 7,500 square kilometers of three-dimensional models under a 'Point-Line-Plane-Dynamic' framework. Coverage extends to addresses, travel times, building outlines and area-level heatmaps.
Cui Yong, General Manager of Amap Platform, said the company has converted spatial intelligence into ready-to-use agents for developers and enterprises, enabling AI to support real-world business decisions such as store site selection and fleet routing rather than only answering digital queries.
Tasks that took days now run as automated agent workflows
Amap said store location selection, neighborhood analysis and demand heatmap generation—processes that typically take days—can now be packaged into agent-executable workflows on Qianyu, cutting operating time for enterprise users. Agents determine spatial-temporal scope, gather data, cross-verify sources and return traceable recommendations.
Two-wheel mobility gains car-grade navigation and collision alerts
Amap extended lane-level guidance and traffic-light countdowns—features built for car navigation—to scooters and motorcycles. Its 'Eagle Eye Guardian' system issues beyond-line-of-sight warnings for rear-end collisions, dooring accidents and lane-cutting. The spatial solution now runs on Android, Linux, OpenHarmony and RTOS, with deepened collaboration with mobility brands Niu Technologies and Ninebot.
Xiaomi and Qwen Glasses embed spatial search into wearables
In AIoT deployments, Amap partners with Xiaomi and Qwen Glasses to add voice-activated place search and turn-by-turn instructions to smart glasses, and single-command ride-hailing from smartwatches.
World Map service now covers 300 million POIs for global operators
Amap's World Map service has expanded to more than 300 million continuously updated POIs and over 900 million address records, supporting Chinese, English and local-language adaptation. The service provides navigation for driving, cycling, walking and motorcycle use to logistics platforms, on-demand delivery, local services and online travel operators. Amap is extending China-tested capabilities—including junction views, lane-level guidance and turn-by-turn instructions grounded in real-world road-network attributes—for direct integration into enterprise applications and operating systems internationally.
