This initiative represents Amcor's commitment to fostering sustainable innovation and shaping the future of packaging.
Investment and Partnership Opportunities
Selected startups will receive a significant investment of up to $250,000 for early-stage ventures and up to $500,000 for those in the growth stage. Furthermore, successful applicants will gain access to invaluable mentorship from Amcor's senior leadership, along with support from the company's extensive internal and external networks.
Targeting Key Areas of Innovation
Amcor Lift-Off 2024 is focused on three specific areas critical to the evolution of sustainable packaging:
- Paper-Based Packaging Solutions: Amcor seeks to partner with startups developing novel substrates and high-barrier solutions for paper-based primary packaging in food, beverage, and pharmaceutical applications.
- AI in Manufacturing: Startups utilizing artificial intelligence and machine learning to optimize manufacturing processes, including production site networks and predictive maintenance, are encouraged to participate.
- New Business Models Beyond Packaging: Amcor is interested in exploring innovative business models that extend beyond traditional packaging and leverage technologies such as high-barrier films, vacuum deposition,and printing.
