American Outdoor Brands Approves New $10 Million Stock Buyback

Columbia, Mo. – October 01, 2026 -- American Outdoor Brands, Inc. (NASDAQ: AOUT) has authorized a new share repurchase program of up to $10 million, running from October 1, 2026 through September 30, 2027.

Prior buyback program closed with $1.9 million deployed

The new authorization follows a predecessor program, launched in 2025 with an identical $10 million ceiling. As of September 30, 2026, that program had repurchased 236,907 shares at an average price of $8.15, totaling roughly $1.9 million, well below its full capacity.

CEO cites debt-free balance sheet as basis for capital flexibility

President and CEO Brian Murphy said the board's approval reflects confidence in the company's strategy and long-term opportunities. He said the company's debt-free balance sheet provides flexibility to invest in innovation and organic growth, pursue selective, accretive acquisitions, and return capital to stockholders through opportunistic repurchases.

Repurchases to proceed via open market and negotiated trades

Shares may be bought back on the open market, through block trades, or in privately negotiated transactions, with timing and volume left to management's discretion. Factors influencing execution include the stock's market price, trading volume, general economic conditions, the company's capital position, and legal requirements. The program carries no obligation to repurchase a set number of shares and may be discontinued at any time.
