Santa Clara – September 08, 2026 -- Anatomage Inc. has launched Anatomage Replica, a line of 3D-printed anatomical models derived from real cadaver data, positioning the product as a lower-cost alternative to plastinated human specimens for medical training.

Replica converts digital cadaver data into physical training models

The new product line builds on the Anatomage Table, the company's digital anatomy platform that uses fully volumized digital bodies derived from real cadaver sections and high-fidelity synthetic cadavers. Replica applies 3D-printing technology to translate this cadaver data into physical models intended for repeated use in classrooms, dissection labs and clinical training settings.

First model set covers heart, brain, hand, knee and foot

The initial Anatomage Replica release includes five anatomical structures: heart, brain, hand, knee and foot. Each model features removable components that expose deeper internal structures, allowing students to examine anatomy layer by layer. Muscles, ligaments and bones retain the appearance of the original frozen cadavers, while vascular structures and nerves are color-coded for identification.

Product targets cost and durability limitations of plastination

Traditional cadaver dissection remains central to medical education but is destructive and finite, with structures unable to be restored once removed. Plastinated models offer a durable alternative using preserved human tissue but can be fragile, expensive, and visually altered through painted or modified staining to highlight structures. Anatomage said Replica is designed to be durable, safe to handle and reusable, offering a substantially lower-cost option than plastinated human specimens.

Company links physical models to its existing digital anatomy ecosystem

Anatomage positions Replica as a bridge between its digital visualization platform and physical, hands-on instruction, giving students a consistent anatomical reference across both formats throughout their training. The company stated that anatomists have found the detail and accuracy of the Replica models comparable to cadaveric dissection.
