Atomic Raises $12.5M Series A for AI Supply Chain Control System

Boston – September 29, 2026 -- Atomic, an AI-native supply chain planning platform, closed a $12.5 million Series A led by Klass Capital and Madrona to expand from planning software into a full operating control system for physical goods companies.

Atomic already automates 90% of purchasing for DoorDash's DashMart network

DoorDash's DashMart convenience and essentials business migrated to Atomic in roughly three months with zero business disruption and feature parity with legacy systems. The platform now automates 90% of purchasing decisions across hundreds of DashMart sites. Nick Palefsky, Director of New Business Verticals at DoorDash, said Atomic lets the company apply years of operating judgment across its network daily, including how to sequence primary and backup suppliers.

DashMart's team recently used Atomic's AI to build new purchasing logic for supplier sequencing in about an hour, a change Atomic then applied across daily purchases to shift more volume to primary suppliers and improve gross margins.

Good Chop cut inventory in half while more than doubling revenue

HelloFresh's meat box subscription business, Good Chop, used Atomic to reduce inventory on hand from eight or nine weeks to four weeks. Over the same period, the company more than doubled revenue and expanded both its distribution network and product range. Seb Tron, president of Good Chop, said Atomic is the core engine the company uses to plan supply and place purchase orders.

Founders built Tesla's 50-person planning engineering team during the Model 3 ramp

Atomic was founded by Michael Rossiter, Neal Suidan and Jeff Goodrich, who led Sales and Operations Planning at Tesla through the Model 3 production ramp. The company was incubated at DVx Ventures, founded by former Tesla President Jon McNeill, who now sits on Atomic's board. Rossiter, Atomic's CEO, said most companies cannot justify building an internal planning engineering team at Tesla's scale and are instead running critical operations through spreadsheets and legacy software.

New capital targets enterprise deployment and AI agent expansion

Adrian Schauer of Klass Capital and Matt McIlwain of Madrona are joining Atomic's board alongside McNeill. The funding will expand Atomic's AI agent platform, Nucleus, already used daily by customers for S&OP preparation, inventory questions and supply-risk checks, and support larger enterprise rollouts.

Companies can deploy Atomic's sales and operations planning layer in about 30 days using existing data, with the platform running alongside a company's current ERP rather than requiring process rebuilds. McIlwain of Madrona said the platform runs daily purchasing across DoorDash's DashMart network roughly 18 months after Madrona's seed investment.

Atomic's customer base includes DoorDash's DashMart, Good Chop, Starface World, OOFOS, LMNT and Vincero.
