Hamilton, Ontario – September 09, 2026 -- AtomVie Global Radiopharma has opened a new 72,300-square-foot production facility at 10 Aeropark Boulevard in Hamilton, Ontario, backed by more than $160 million in investment and marking the largest single-site radiopharmaceutical CDMO facility in North America.
New facility multiplies AtomVie's manufacturing output tenfold
The purpose-built plant increases AtomVie's production capacity by a factor of ten, supporting both low- and high-throughput manufacturing. The site is designed to handle the full lifecycle of radiopharmaceutical production, from early-stage clinical development through commercial-scale manufacturing, with flexible space reserved for future client requirements.
Workforce set to exceed 200 employees by year-end
AtomVie, a spin-off of the Centre for Probe Development and Commercialization (CPDC) based at McMaster University, is scaling its headcount toward more than 200 employees by the end of 2026 as the new site moves toward full operational capacity.
Company has delivered over 4,400 cGMP doses across 28 countries
Drawing on more than a decade of process and analytical development expertise, AtomVie has supported over 70 clinical development and technology transfer programs, manufactured more than 1,000 cGMP batches, and delivered over 4,400 cGMP doses to patients in 28 countries across six continents, maintaining a delivery success rate above 99%.
Executives frame the plant as a commercial-scale milestone

Kevin McNeill, Chairman of the Board, said the facility cements AtomVie's position as a leading radiopharmaceutical CDMO now built at commercial scale.
The opening ceremony drew government representatives, customers, partners and radiopharmaceutical industry members for facility tours highlighting AtomVie's role in advancing precision cancer therapies for patients worldwide.
