Fremont, California – September 22, 2026 -- Autel Energy cut the ribbon on a new North American Experience Center in Fremont, California, on September 22, 2026, expanding its footprint in the Bay Area's EV charging technology corridor and launching a two-day Partner Summit for its hardware, software and deployment ecosystem.
Autel Energy pairs facility launch with new Modal amenity-pod partnership
Alongside the opening, Autel Energy announced a partnership with Modal, a provider of modular, fully managed amenity pods for EV charging sites. The deal gives Autel Energy's distributors, resellers and network operators a route to build charging locations that combine high-power EV charging with driver-focused amenities on site.
Fremont facility adds demonstration, testing and parts-stocking capacity
The center showcases Autel Energy's AC and DC charging portfolio and provides space for live charging demonstrations, interoperability testing and technical training. It also functions as a service hub with ready-to-ship parts in stock, according to the company.
"Opening our Fremont Experience Center represents much more than adding another location," said Michelle Luo, CEO of Autel Energy North America. "We want this facility to be a place where the industry can experience new technology, test solutions, collaborate and ultimately accelerate the deployment of reliable EV charging."
Ribbon-cutting draws California officials and commercial fleet vehicle makers
The September 22 ceremony included remarks from California Assemblymember Alex Lee and California Energy Commissioner Nancy Skinner, along with Wendy Wilson of Catalyst Mobility and Mike Murphy of EVs for All America. Commercial vehicles from Isuzu, Harbinger and Blue Bird were featured at the opening, illustrating the range of fleet applications now tied to charging infrastructure deployment.
Partner Summit agenda covers Buy America rules and OCPP integration
Autel Energy's North American Partner Summit runs September 23-24 at the Fremont site, bringing together distributors, resellers, network operators, technology providers and fleets. Sessions are scheduled on the company's product roadmap, open standards and OCPP software integration, service and support, Buy America and BABA requirements, weights and measures compliance, and the economics of EV charging deployment.
"Fremont gives us an opportunity to bring the entire charging ecosystem together in one place," said Shane Long, President of Autel Energy North America. Live demonstrations at the summit will show Autel Energy charging systems operating with commercial electric vehicles, spanning use cases from workplace and multifamily charging to fleet depots and high-power public charging. "No single company builds the charging ecosystem by itself," Luo said. "Our strategy is to remain open and partner-friendly so our customers can assemble the solutions that make the most sense for their projects."
