Autonex Launches as €800M Automotive Marketplace Group

Munich – October 13, 2026 -- Autonex launched as a unified automotive marketplace group with annual revenues above €800 million, combining AutoScout24 and AutoTrader.ca across nine markets in Europe and Canada.

The Group reaches more than 40 million unique monthly users and works with over 45,000 dealer partners. It carries more than two million vehicle listings at any given time. It holds leading market positions in most of its markets, including Canada, Germany, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands, Austria and the Nordics.

Autonex consolidates its brands onto a single shared platform

The launch reflects growing operational and technological integration around one platform featuring Autonex Intelligence. The platform draws on proprietary data from consumer interactions, dealer relationships and vehicle listings. It lets the Group roll out products and commercial capabilities across countries while keeping local market expertise.

The Group will keep its established brands: AutoScout24 in Europe, AutoTrader.ca and AutoHebdo.net in Canada, LeasingMarkt.de in Germany, and AutoProff in European B2B wholesale.

CEO Peter Brooks-Johnson said Autonex will "redefine automotive marketplaces", citing the scale and technology to change how vehicles are bought, sold and leased across Europe and Canada.

Autonex names three pillars for long-term growth: leading marketplaces in Europe and Canada, the shared platform, and a suite of dealer solutions that includes cross-border B2B trading through AutoProff.

Autonex Intelligence rolls out AI tools through AutoScout24 Intelligence and AutoTrader Intelligence

Autonex groups its AI capabilities under Autonex Intelligence, which it brings to market as AutoScout24 Intelligence in Europe and AutoTrader Intelligence in Canada. Two of the latest and upcoming innovations target both sides of the marketplace.

Conversational search turns vehicle search into a personal car-buying assistant that helps buyers find a car matching their needs and budget. For dealers, the Group expects better-informed buyers and more relevant, higher-intent enquiries.

A dealer agent acts as an AI-powered business partner. It converts marketplace and performance data into recommendations on pricing, visibility and listing quality.

AutoProff targets fragmented dealer-to-dealer trade between European markets

Significant dealer-to-dealer trading flows exist between European markets because of differences in supply, demand, pricing and vehicle mix. Much of this trade has historically been informal, leaving processes fragmented and often inefficient.

Through AutoProff and its wider marketplace capabilities, Autonex aims to make these transactions more efficient and accessible. It plans to support dealers with sourcing, auctions, pricing, inspection, escrow, transport and tax-related services.
