Axjo Group Acquires Eco-Tourets to Expand French Footprint

Gislaved, Sweden – September 07, 2026 -- Axjo Group, a Swedish provider of recycled polymer packaging solutions, has acquired French company Eco-Tourets, converting the firm's Villeneuve-sur-Yonne site into a logistics and sales hub for the French market.

Villeneuve-sur-Yonne site becomes Axjo's local hub near Paris

The site, located south-east of Paris, will initially support faster deliveries and closer customer collaboration for Axjo Group in France. The move follows Axjo's earlier establishment of Axjo GmbH in Cologne, Germany, this year, as the Group pursues stronger local presence across Europe.

Eco-Tourets founder Maxime Peyronny to lead French operations

Maxime Peyronny, who founded Eco-Tourets and built its business around sustainable packaging for the wire and cable industry, will remain with the company to manage local operations and drive Axjo Group's continued development in France. "Axjo's scalability, combined with my local network and market expertise, makes this a strong match," said Peyronny, President of Eco-Tourets.

Axjo cites circular packaging system as core to French growth strategy

Both companies share a focus on sustainable packaging supported by a return system enabling reuse. Jacob Nilsson, CEO of Axjo Group, said France is a key market for the company and that the acquisition creates new growth opportunities.

Axjo Group plans additional hubs and local production investment

Axjo Group intends to build on the Villeneuve-sur-Yonne platform by establishing further hubs and investing in local production, aiming to strengthen a more circular supply network across France.
