Chicago – October 01, 2026 -- Ballard Power Systems has launched Fleet360, a fuel cell lifecycle program that guarantees power output performance for up to 250,000 miles of operation, unveiled at APTA TRANSform & EXPO 2026 in Chicago.
Fleet360 ties a performance guarantee to data, parts and training for North American transit fleets
The program is available with new FCmove-HD+ module sales in North America and bundles fuel cell health data, technical support, parts assurance, technician training and refurbishment options into a single service structure. Its FCcare+ coverage package provides the headline 250,000-mile power output guarantee, while the base FCcare package covers full parts coverage with defined response, spare-part delivery and resolution commitments.
FCpulse dashboard gives maintenance teams visibility into fuel cell state of health
Ballard's FCpulse digital platform anchors Fleet360, offering a state-of-health dashboard to flag modules needing attention, a data visualizer for deeper diagnostics, and quarterly performance reports for lifecycle budgeting. Ralph Robinett, Chief Operating Officer of Ballard, said the program backs the company's technology with a defined performance guarantee supported by information, parts and technical maintenance support.
Remote Operations Centre and Oregon parts hub back field service delivery
Service execution runs through Ballard's Remote Operations Centre in Vancouver, which handles triage, diagnostics and engineering escalation, paired with expanded field service capacity and a US parts inventory based in Bend, Oregon. Ballard Academy adds in-house technician training, while the Core+ refurbishment option links stack condition assessment to planned module overhauls.
Program builds on more than 186 million miles of fuel cell operating history
Ballard cites more than 186 million miles (300 million kilometers) of operational service across over 3,000 fuel cell engines deployed. Nearly 330 fuel cell buses now operate across North America, including more than 225 buses in California and over 30 in Nevada.
Launch follows Ballard's acquisition of GeoPura, adding hydrogen production and logistics
Ballard's APTA EXPO presence comes weeks after completing its acquisition of GeoPura, which extends the company's offering beyond fuel cell engines into hydrogen production, logistics, refueling and integrated Energy-as-a-Service solutions. Ballard said the expanded capabilities strengthen its ability to support customers deploying zero-emission fleets at scale.
Transit operators and bus manufacturers can meet Ballard's team to discuss Fleet360 coverage and service options at Booth 462, October 5-7.
