Bloomington, Minn. – October 05, 2026 -- BGM, a Top 200 full-service accounting, tax, audit and advisory firm, has added Norwalk, Connecticut-based R. L. DePanfilis & Company, LLC, marking the firm's entry into Connecticut and extending its New England footprint.
R. L. DePanfilis joins BGM after more than four decades as an independent CPA firm
Founded in 1979, R. L. DePanfilis & Company serves businesses, individuals, estates and trusts with tax compliance, multistate and foreign tax filings, audits, compilations, financial reporting, business succession planning, due diligence, and estate and trust returns. The firm will now operate under the BGM name, with partners David W. Gibbs, CPA, and Kenneth T. Miller, CPA, continuing to lead the Norwalk office alongside their existing team.

BGM CEO and Principal Dane J. Boeckermann said the combination gives the firm a stronger base in New England and creates additional collaboration opportunities for its professionals. David W. Gibbs said the move preserves what clients and staff value most while adding capabilities in accounting, audit, tax, business advisory, wealth management, and trust and estate services across the combined firm.
Transaction advisor confirmed for both parties
Joe Tarasco, CEO of Accountants Advisory Group, advised both BGM and R. L. DePanfilis & Company on the deal. Day-to-day client relationships in Norwalk will remain unchanged, while BGM clients gain access to additional professionals and services in Connecticut, reinforcing coverage across New England and the broader United States.
