Malibu, Calif. – September 22, 2026 -- BIRKENSTOCK Americas has opened its 24th company-owned US retail location in Malibu, California, marking a continued expansion of its direct-to-consumer footprint on the West Coast.
New store anchors Malibu's Cross Creek Ranch mixed-use development
The store is situated at Cross Creek Ranch, 23465 Civic Center Way, Suite #850, a recently opened retail and dining destination in Malibu's Civic Center. The location carries the full BIRKENSTOCK range for women, men and kids, including sandals, clogs, sneakers, shoes and boots, alongside the brand's Care Essentials line and a new plant-based nail polish collection.
Retail design integrates a commissioned sculpture by Malibu-based artist Rogan Gregory
BIRKENSTOCK acquired a large-scale sculptural work, Fertility Form 2025, in gypsum with bronze patina, from artist Rogan Gregory, who lives and works in Malibu. The piece is installed within the store's interior, which uses cork and leather throughout to align with the brand's design heritage.
Expansion follows 50th anniversary of the Boston clog
The Malibu opening coincides with BIRKENSTOCK's 2026 celebration of the 50-year milestone of its Boston clog. David Kahan, President of BIRKENSTOCK Americas, said the brand has maintained a longstanding fan base in Malibu and that the Cross Creek Ranch site matched the company's design and community values.
The store operates daily from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
