Nashville, Tenn. – September 24, 2026 -- The Bridgestone-supported BMW Motorrad World Endurance Team clinched the 2026 FIM Endurance World Championship (EWC) title on Sept. 20 at the Bol d'Or season finale at Circuit Paul Ricard in Le Castellet, France, marking the sixth consecutive year a Bridgestone-equipped team has won the series and the seventh title overall for the tire maker.
Bridgestone-equipped teams claim all five top spots in final standings
All five top-ranked teams in the 2026 EWC final standings competed on Bridgestone BATTLAX tires, reinforcing the supplier's dominance in the world's premier endurance motorcycle racing series. Bridgestone served as the exclusive tire supplier for 19 EWC teams in the 2026 season.
BMW secures first-ever EWC title after 2025 mechanical failure
Riders Markus Reiterberger, Steven Odendaal, Michael van der Mark and Jeremy Guarnoni delivered BMW's first FIM EWC World Championship win, riding the BMW M 1000 RR (Team 37) under manager Werner Daemen. The victory followed a 2025 near-miss at the same circuit, when the Belgian-based team was less than 30 minutes from the title before a mechanical failure ended their bid.
The YART Yamaha Official EWC Team (Yamaha YZF-R1, riders Karel Hanika, Marvin Fritz and Leandro Denis Mercado) finished second, followed by Yoshimura Sert Motul (Suzuki GSX-R 1000R) in third, Kawasaki Webike Trickstar in fourth, and Autorace Ube Racing Team (BMW M 1000 RR) in fifth.
Bridgestone ties race data to street-tire development pipeline
Bridgestone said its EWC tire program, supplying BATTLAX race tires to full-season competitors since 2017, feeds directly into its "From Circuit to Street" development strategy. Endurance races run non-stop for 8 to 24 hours, exposing tires to sharp day-to-night temperature swings and shifting track surfaces that Bridgestone engineers use to accelerate compound and structural design work for premium replacement tires sold to consumers.
