Eaton, Ohio – September 13, 2026 -- Bullen Ultrasonics' Miller Williams Facility in Eaton, Ohio, has been named a 2026 IndustryWeek Best Plants Award winner, one of four North American manufacturers recognized this year for quality, automation and continuous-improvement performance.
Facility posts final customer yields above 98% with cycle times cut 14%
The plant maintains final customer yield levels exceeding 98%, with first-pass yield regularly topping 97%. Targeted continuous-improvement efforts reduced production cycle times by approximately 14% in key areas.
Revenue has grown 45% since 2023 as Bullen scales automation
Bullen has grown revenue by approximately 45% since 2023 while investing in proprietary technology, automation, operational systems and workforce development. The company designed and built custom automated and robotic ultrasonic machining cells in-house to improve precision, repeatability, throughput and scalability, and expanded real-time production-data and RFID-based systems for process visibility, calibration and traceability.
Employee engagement climbs to 90.5% as workers submit 120 improvement ideas
Employee engagement scores rose from 83% in January 2025 to 90.5% in the first quarter of 2026. Frontline employees submitted approximately 120 continuous-improvement suggestions plantwide over the past year, including an operations team member who worked with an engineer to resolve abrasive buildup on a critical machine surface, and a technician whose proposed production method was adopted as new standard work.

Facility serves semiconductor, MEMS, aerospace and defense customers
The Miller Williams Facility, opened in 2006, machines advanced ceramics and other hard, brittle materials -- including silicon, glass, quartz, ceramics and sapphire -- using ultrasonic machining, proprietary MicroLucent laser processing and high-precision CNC grinding for semiconductor, MEMS, aerospace and defense applications. Established in 1990, the IndustryWeek Best Plants Awards evaluate manufacturing sites on leadership, quality, employee involvement, technology, production systems and competitiveness through applications and site visits.
Bullen will receive its 2026 IndustryWeek Best Plants trophy on October 21 during the Operations Leadership Summit in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
