Calamos Discloses October Distributions, Section 19(a) Notices for 7 Funds

Metro Chicago – October 01, 2026 -- Calamos Investments has declared monthly distributions paid in October 2026 across seven of its closed-end funds, accompanied by mandatory source-of-distribution disclosures required under Section 19 of the Investment Company Act of 1940.

Seven closed-end funds confirm October payouts under distribution plans

The affected funds trade on Nasdaq under tickers CHI, CHY, CSQ, CGO, CHW, CCD and CPZ. Calamos Global Total Return Fund, Calamos Global Dynamic Income Fund, Calamos Dynamic Convertible and Income Fund, Calamos Convertible Opportunities and Income Fund, and Calamos Convertible and High Income Fund are reporting estimated distribution sources based on year-to-date cumulative experience, with the firm attributing these estimates equally across each regular distribution for the year.

Two funds operate under SEC-exempted managed distribution policy

Calamos' remaining two closed-end funds operate under a managed distribution policy governed by an exemptive order granted by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The order requires the firm to disclose to shareholders the estimated percentage breakdown of distributions attributable to current and prior fiscal year net investment income, net realized short-term capital gains, net realized long-term capital gains, and return of capital.

Net asset value figures reference September 30, 2026 close

Calamos based its NAV returns on fund values as of September 30, 2026, with distribution returns incorporating the October payout. The firm cautioned that a return of capital distribution occurs when invested capital is paid back to shareholders and does not necessarily reflect fund investment performance, nor should it be confused with yield or income.

Firm flags estimates as non-binding ahead of year-end tax reporting

Calamos stressed that the amounts and sources detailed in the Section 19(a) notice are estimates only and not intended for tax reporting purposes. Actual amounts and sources for accounting and tax purposes will depend on each fund's investment experience through the remainder of its fiscal year and may shift based on tax regulations, with final figures delivered to shareholders via Form 1099-DIV.

Shareholders enrolled in the automatic dividend reinvestment plan will have distributions reinvested at NAV or 95% of market price when shares trade at a premium, or at market price through open-market purchases when shares trade at a discount.
