Fresno, Calif. – September 12, 2026 -- Bar None Auction will sell surplus fleet vehicles and heavy construction equipment from the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) and Granite Construction on Saturday, September 12, through a competitive online public auction based in Sacramento.
Caltrans surplus package includes work trucks and construction equipment
The Caltrans consignment covers work trucks, fleet vehicles and construction equipment, drawn from the agency's Sacramento and Fresno facilities. The offering arrives one week after the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) consigned a significant vehicle and equipment package to Bar None Auction's Fontana facility.
Granite Construction adds heavy equipment lineup to the sale
Granite Construction, one of the nation's leading infrastructure and construction companies, is consigning motor graders, wheel loaders, skip loaders, excavators, scrapers, dozers, compactors, skid steers and lifts. The combined Caltrans and Granite packages give contractors, equipment dealers and other buyers access to a broad range of government and contractor-owned equipment in a single online auction event.
Bar None cites broad government client base across California
Beyond Caltrans and LADWP, Bar None Auction works with the California Department of General Services and the cities of Fremont and Sacramento, among other state and local agencies. Jeff Huber, Marketing Director of Bar None Auction, said competitive and transparent public auctions with broad buyer exposure allow agencies to maximize asset recovery and return value to taxpayers.
Auction remains open to unlicensed public bidders
Bidders do not need to be licensed equipment dealers to participate; registration, inventory review, photographs and video are available on the Bar None Auction website. In-person preview days are scheduled for Thursday, September 10, and Friday, September 11, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. at both the Fresno and Sacramento locations.
