Guangzhou – September 22, 2026 -- The 140th China Import and Export Fair, known as the Canton Fair, will run from October 15 to November 4, 2026, with more than 220,000 overseas buyers from 197 countries and regions already pre-registered, nearly 80% of them professional buyers.
Over 32,000 exhibitors mark the fair's 70th anniversary with a push toward innovation
More than 11,000 exhibitors qualify as "Specialized, Refined, Differential, and Innovative" (SRDI) firms or industry champions. Some 64% of exhibitors now apply industrial internet or artificial intelligence technologies in their operations, while new and green products account for 23.2% and 26% of all exhibits respectively, both historical highs.
Fair deploys 22 smart application scenarios and 16 AI-specific features for the first time
The event becomes the first in China's exhibition industry to offer booth-level navigation and AR information display across all halls, delivering meter-level precise navigation for more than 75,000 booths.
Full-chain trade services cover 10 producer-service categories for the first time
Services span logistics, warehousing, design and R&D, overseas integrated services, and cross-border investment and financing. Organizers will hold over 700 New Collection events, a 15% increase in debuts from the prior session, alongside a newly established New Collection Gallery for supplier-buyer matching. Seven forums will address market expansion, risk mitigation, trend research and innovation.
Zhu Yong, Director General of China Foreign Trade Centre, said the fair will continue building smart exhibition halls to offer exhibitors and buyers a full-journey, full-chain service ecosystem.
