C&D Technologies Unveils Broadband MAX, TEL-HT MAX UPS Batteries

Horsham, Pa. – September 24, 2026 -- C&D Technologies is introducing the Broadband MAX Pure Lead AGM and Gel battery series and previewing the TEL-HT MAX, a UPS battery engineered to cut total cost of ownership by up to 20% for telecom operators. The company will showcase both products at SCTE TechExpo26, running September 29 through October 1, 2026, in Atlanta, at booth G1332.

Broadband MAX targets lifecycle costs for Outside Plant operators

The Broadband MAX VRLA battery series is built to extend service life and reduce the frequency of battery replacements in Outside Plant applications, directly lowering lifecycle costs for broadband network operators managing distributed infrastructure.

TEL-HT MAX promises up to 20% lower total cost of ownership

The TEL-HT MAX, the newest addition to C&D's TEL-HT portfolio, incorporates enhanced technology intended to extend battery service life and reduce maintenance requirements for telecom infrastructure, delivering the TCO reduction the company is citing for the product line.

C&D cites network convergence as driver of rising power demand

Jon Anderson, Chief Technology Officer at C&D Technologies, said the convergence of broadband, mobile, Wi-Fi and Edge technologies is straining power requirements across connected networks, prompting the company to develop backup batteries aimed at helping operators maintain uninterrupted service as the industry evolves.

Existing portfolio spans extreme-temperature and long-duration batteries

Alongside the new launches, C&D will display its TEL-HT batteries, rated for operation between -40°F and 160°F; Pure Lead Max (PLM) batteries, positioned as a single-replacement solution for a 15-year UPS system; msEndur II Pure Lead AGM batteries, described as C&D's most advanced 2V VRLA solution for telecom; Broadband BBA Pure Lead AGM and Broadband BBG Gel batteries built for CATV site requirements; and Telcordia-tested TEL Long Duration batteries qualified for extensive life cycles.

C&D positions booth visits around three specific customer benefits

The company is framing meetings at booth G1332 around three points for attendees: early access to new battery innovations shaping the UPS market, direct consultation with C&D's technical and sales leadership on backup power requirements, and guidance on optimizing backup power strategies for current and future network demand.
