Centron, Tsinghua University Ink R&D Pact on Dispensing Tech

Wuxi – September 19, 2026 -- Centron signed an industry-academia-research cooperation agreement with Professor Zhang Xiangyu's team from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Tsinghua University, targeting process-consistency challenges in adhesive dispensing for manufacturing lines.

Agreement signed at Xishan Technology Transfer Conference in Wuxi

The deal was formalized on Sept. 15, 2026, during the 2026 Xishan Technology Transfer Conference, under the Xishan-Tsinghua industry-academia collaboration program. The framework operates on a model where enterprises raise production-floor questions, universities apply research-based methods, and market application tests the results.

Dispensing consistency across four coupled variables drives the collaboration

Centron identifies dispensing volume, path, cycle time and substrate condition as the four closely coupled variables that determine process consistency on production lines -- a challenge the company says extends beyond single-equipment performance and requires long-term validation under real manufacturing conditions.

Centron brings automotive and battery production experience; Tsinghua contributes fluid-control research

Centron has built application and validation experience in dispensing, potting and trickle impregnation across automotive body shop, final assembly, battery pack production and e-drive manufacturing scenarios. Tsinghua's Department of Mechanical Engineering contributes expertise in fluid control, precision equipment and engineering research methods, creating a structured link between production-floor conditions and academic research tools.

Collaboration aims to shorten verification-to-application timelines for manufacturers

For manufacturing customers, the stated priority extends beyond individual equipment output to consistency, traceability and reliability across entire production lines. Centron and Tsinghua's partnership is designed to compress the gap between technical verification and practical deployment, supporting more stable process solutions in demanding manufacturing environments such as e-mobility and energy storage battery production.
