San Diego – October 07, 2026 -- Cetera has recruited financial advisor Cynthia Doussard and her practice, Doussard Financial, which oversees approximately $235 million in assets under administration, into its Summit Financial Networks community.
Advisor exits Commonwealth after 24-year tenure following LPL acquisition
Doussard, based in Burlington, Washington, spent nearly 30 years in the industry, including more than two decades affiliated with Commonwealth Financial Network. She began searching for a new partner only after Commonwealth announced its acquisition by LPL Financial, spending roughly a year evaluating offers from multiple recruiters and broker-dealers before selecting Cetera.
Practice brings two support staff and a pending third advisor
Doussard Financial employs two dedicated support staff and a third team member currently pursuing a securities license with plans to become the firm's second financial advisor. The practice serves clients across Northwest Washington, built largely through referrals and ties to the region's oil refinery workforce, with a focus on retirement income planning, pension distributions and 401(k) rollovers.
Move follows pattern of former Commonwealth advisors joining Cetera
Doussard said she observed several former Commonwealth peers join Cetera before making her own decision, seeking a similar operating relationship to the one she had maintained for 24 years. Cetera Advisor Channel Leader Tom Halloran said the trust her clients place in Doussard and her team reflects the demands of their blue-collar occupations.
Addition lands within Cetera's roughly 12,000-advisor network
Cetera firms managed approximately $688 billion in assets under administration and $330 billion in assets under management as of June 30, 2026. Summit Financial Networks operates as a region within Cetera Wealth Services, LLC, a FINRA/SIPC member firm.
