Ottawa, ON -- Claigan Environmental will run two identical webinars on September 23, 2026, to help manufacturers budget for restricted materials compliance requirements taking effect in 2027.
Two sessions scheduled same day due to expected demand
Claigan will hold back-to-back one-hour sessions at 10am and 2pm on September 23, each including a question-and-answer segment. The company cited anticipated demand as the reason for scheduling duplicate webinars rather than a single event.
Eight regulatory areas span packaging, chemicals and emissions reporting
The sessions will cover US and EU Packaging Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) requirements, updated Proposition 65 warnings, and Canadian Section 71 submissions. Additional topics include EU Medical Device Regulation (MDR) submissions, the Canadian Plastics Registry, and changes to EU RoHS exemptions. Claigan will also address Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions reporting, alongside strategies for REACH and Persistent Organic Pollutants (POP) regulatory updates.
Company frames unbudgeted compliance awareness as operational risk
Claigan's messaging for the webinar centers on the risk of overlooked regulations, stating that "awareness without a budget isn't compliance; it's just scheduled panic." The webinar content will focus specifically on the relative level of effort required for each compliance task heading into 2027, aimed at helping companies allocate resources ahead of enforcement deadlines.
Registration open through Zoom and company website
Separate registration links have been issued for the 10am and 2pm sessions via Zoom, with registration also available through Claigan's website.
