Clearview AI, NCPTF Locate 34 Missing Children in Long Island Operation

Long Island, N.Y. – October 02, 2026 -- Clearview AI and the National Child Protection Task Force (NCPTF) located 34 children and teens reported missing to police across Nassau County, Suffolk County, and Queens through a multi-day rescue operation.

Operation recovers minors aged 7 to 18 across three New York counties

The Long Island Missing Child Rescue Operation was coordinated by NCPTF in partnership with the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services Missing Persons Clearinghouse and the Office of Children and Family Services. The multi-day effort combined local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies with nonprofit organizations and private technology partners to review case notes and pursue new investigative leads.

Clearview AI technology generates leads for human verification

Clearview AI supplied investigative technology support during the operation, generating leads that trained personnel subsequently verified. Amos Kyler, CEO of Clearview AI, said the engagement reflects the trust law enforcement and child-protection agencies place in the company's technology.

Kevin Branzetti, Co-Founder and CEO of NCPTF, said the outcomes demonstrate what is possible when law enforcement, child-protection professionals, and technology partners coordinate around vulnerable youth.

One recovered teen had been missing for two years before reunification

Among the 34 cases, a youth missing for two years was located and connected with trained advocates, who provided rest, a meal, and immediate support while determining next steps. Her family, who had not seen her since her disappearance, prepared to reunite with her following the recovery.

NCPTF's cumulative missing-child recoveries now exceed 253

The Office of Children and Family Services coordinated with nonprofit organizations and victim assistance programs to support ongoing care for recovered children and reduce the risk of future missing episodes. NCPTF has now helped locate more than 253 endangered missing children through its coordinated Missing Child Rescue Operations nationwide.
