St. Joseph, Mich. – September 28, 2026 -- Colson Group has acquired Algood Caster Innovations, a Toronto-area manufacturer of industrial and specialty casters, wheels and mobility solutions founded in 1969.
Deal adds five decades of Canadian manufacturing expertise to Colson's global footprint
Algood operates a fully integrated manufacturing facility near Toronto, covering engineering and design, tool and die, metal stamping, injection molding, CNC machining, robotic welding and quality assurance. The setup allows the company to take products from concept through production within a single operation.

Algood manufactures casters, brakes and wheels for a wide range of load capacities
The company's engineering-led model includes developing specialized solutions when standard caster and wheel products fail to meet an application's requirements. Algood's Canadian operation complements Colson Group's existing North American manufacturing base, adding engineering and production capacity closer to regional customers.

Craig Guttmann, President of Algood Caster Innovations, said the business was built by his father in 1969 around craftsmanship, innovation and quality. Algood will continue serving existing customers and channel partners under its current products and service model, now backed by Colson Group's broader resources.
