ASUR August Traffic Falls 2.1% as Colombia Bucks Regional Decline

Mexico City – September 12, 2026 -- Grupo Aeroportuario del Sureste (NYSE: ASR; BMV: ASUR) handled 5.9 million passengers across its airport network in August 2026, a 2.1% year-on-year decline compared with August 2025.

Colombia traffic rises 4.0% while Mexico and Puerto Rico contract

Passenger volumes in Colombia grew 4.0% year-on-year, driven by a 5.8% increase in domestic traffic that offset a 1.2% drop in international flows. Mexico traffic fell 4.0%, with domestic passengers up 4.1% failing to compensate for a 13.6% slide in international traffic. Puerto Rico posted the steepest decline at 5.1%, with domestic and international traffic down 4.9% and 5.9%, respectively.
