Infineon Opens Bangkok Backend Plant, Scalable to 1,000 Jobs
Bangkok – October 01, 2026 -- Infineon Technologies AG has officially opened a new backend semiconductor manufacturing site in Samut Prakan, Bangkok, designed to scale up to five production modules and employ up to 1,000 workers as it ramps.

The facility was inaugurated jointly by Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister of Thailand, and Alexander Gorski, Chief Operations Officer of Infineon Technologies. The company frames the site as a strategic diversification move for its global manufacturing network, complementing ongoing frontend capacity expansion elsewhere.
