Skanska Adds USD 60M Contract for Fort Myers Hospital Project

Stockholm – October 02, 2026 -- Skanska has signed an additional USD 60 million (SEK 560 million) contract with Lee Health for the construction of a new hospital and medical office building in Fort Myers, Florida. The sum will be booked in Skanska's US order intake for the third quarter of 2026.

Contract amendment covers interior and mechanical work for bed tower expansion

The amendment adds interior build-out finishes and mechanical, electrical and plumbing work tied to the project's West Bed Tower expansion. It builds on the original full project agreement between Skanska and Lee Health.

Full project scope totals roughly 50,200 square meters of hospital and medical office space

The complete contract scope includes a five-story hospital of approximately 38,600 square meters (416,000 square feet), a central energy plant, and an 11,600-square-meter (125,000-square-foot) medical office building that houses an ambulatory surgery center.
