Nurminen Logistics Doubles Sweden-Italy Rail Frequency to Weekly Twice

Helsinki – September 7, 2026 -- Nurminen Logistics will add a second weekly departure to its Sweden–Italy block train service starting the first week of October 2026, doubling capacity on the route launched earlier this year.

Second weekly departure cuts waiting times on Parma-Örebro corridor

The block train connects the Castelguelfo terminal near Parma in northern Italy with the Frövi terminal in Örebro County, central Sweden, with a rail transit time of approximately 2.5 to 3 days. The added frequency is designed to reduce waiting times and improve delivery predictability for shippers moving freight between Southern Europe and the Nordic region.

Expanded wagon fleet enables dangerous goods transport

Nurminen Logistics will deploy a more versatile wagon fleet alongside the added departure, increasing flexibility to accommodate a wider range of container types and enabling the transport of dangerous goods on the route.
