Macao – October 11, 2026 -- Sands China and NBA Cares closed their five-day Community Impact Week with a basketball carnival that drew about 200 participants to NBA HOUSE at Cotai Expo, The Venetian Macao, on the final day of the NBA China Games 2026.

Sports figures and Sands executives join the closing carnival

NBA legend Chris Bosh, a Basketball Hall of Fame inductee and two-time NBA champion, attended alongside Sands Global Ambassador Sir David Beckham. Chinese women's national team player Zhang Ziyu and short track speed skating Olympic gold medalist Wang Meng also took part, as did Las Vegas Sands and Sands China executives, Sands Cares Ambassadors and members of Macau Special Olympics.

Macau – October 10, 2026 -- Amap, Alibaba Group's location-based services platform, delivered the first batch of Tutu robot dogs to Sands China, which will deploy them as guides at Sands Resorts Macau after a trial at NBA House at The Venetian.

Tutu logs 40 kilometers and 4,546 answers in one 11-hour shift

During the 11-hour workday at NBA House, Tutu robots completed 214 requests for directions to facilities such as restrooms and service counters. They answered 4,546 questions in Chinese and English, retaining task context when visitors switched languages or asked follow-up questions. The robots traveled more than 40 kilometers, which Amap equates to 456 laps around a basketball court.

At the delivery ceremony, Tutu walked autonomously to the stage, navigating around obstacles without a remote control or leash.

Macao – October 07, 2026 -- Sands China Ltd. (HKEx: 1928) kicked off a five-day "NBA Cares x Sands Cares Community Impact Week 2026" on Oct. 7, expanding its youth basketball initiative beyond Macao to include 50 players from Hong Kong and mainland Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) cities for the first time.

The program, running Oct. 7-11 alongside The NBA China Games 2026, drew 300 total participants to the Macao East Asian Games Dome on its opening Youth Day, combining 150 players aged 11-14 from eight Macao schools with the GBA contingent.
