Berlin – September 07, 2026 -- The TÜV-Verband will present its "TÜV-Report Nutzfahrzeuge 2026" during an online press conference on September 9, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., drawing on an analysis of 2.4 million main vehicle inspections covering trucks, vans and other commercial vehicles.
Report to detail defect rates ahead of IAA Transportation trade show
The briefing precedes the IAA Transportation trade fair and will cover the technical safety condition of Germany's commercial vehicle fleet based on mandatory inspection data. The findings will address defect patterns identified during roadworthiness testing, performance of electric commercial vehicles, and barriers to electrifying freight transport.
Analysis to include first Chinese-built van in German market
The report will also assess the inspection performance of the first van imported from China to enter the German market, alongside broader fleet safety trends.
