Los Angeles – October 02, 2026 -- Complex Media is upgrading its editorial staff to the Google Pixel 11, deepening a device partnership that has driven 100% activation and 85% sustained daily active usage across the company since 2025.
Pixel-powered content output has nearly doubled quarter over quarter at Complex
Since adopting Pixel as its official company device, Complex reports that real-time news and event coverage now represents the largest share of all content its staff publishes from the phone. The editorial team uses the device's pro camera and video functions to capture live coverage of major cultural moments across sports, fashion, art and music.
Three photographers used the Pixel 11 to shoot an 11-year fashion retrospective titled 'Culture in Focus'
Photographers Scruggs, French and Addy each covered multiple style eras for the campaign, spanning 2016's Aggro Merch and 2017's Dadcore through Construction Couture, Vertical Video E-Boy, Lockdown Leisure, Rebirth of Baggy, Workwear Revival, Upscale Streetwear, Y2K, 2025's Bedazzled and 2026's Urban Adventurer. The three created fashion-editorial portraits using the Pixel 11's camera and pro features, with final images finished in third-party editing software.
Campaign imagery will debut on digital boards at ComplexCon's 10th anniversary on October 3 and 4
Select images will also run on an out-of-home billboard near the LA Convention Center, extending the campaign beyond festival attendees to broader public visibility in Los Angeles.
Michael Tresvant, EVP of Brand Partnerships at Complex, said the original goal of making Pixel the company's official device was to equip staff with technology that could keep pace with the speed of culture. He said the Pixel 11 rollout across the editorial team demonstrates that the device can support one of the fastest-moving newsrooms in media in real time.
