Constructor Wins MACH Agentic Award as AI Agent Adoption Jumps 900%

San Francisco – October 02, 2026 -- Constructor, a product discovery platform for ecommerce, has won the "Agentic Achievement" category at the MACH Alliance's 2026 MACH Impact Awards, citing a 900% year-over-year increase in companies deploying its conversational AI agents.

Retailers report measurable gains from agent deployments

Across customer deployments, Constructor's agentic technology has driven a 57% reduction in support requests, more than double the conversion rate versus standard search, 52% higher add-to-cart rates and 56% higher purchase rates among shoppers using an agent, according to the company.

Constructor's agent portfolio spans shopper, merchant and external AI engines

The company's lineup includes the AI Shopping Agent (ASA) for exploratory shopping needs, the AI Product Insights Agent (PIA) for product-detail-page guidance, and the Merchant Intelligence Agent (MIA), which lets ecommerce teams query product-discovery performance in plain language and automate merchandising tasks. Its Discovery MCP extends personalized product discovery into external AI answer engines such as ChatGPT, using protocols like UCP so compatible agents retrieve ranked, optimized product results rather than raw catalog data.

Open, API-first architecture underpins agent interoperability

Constructor's composable, API-first design allows its agents to operate across retailers' existing technology stacks, while its Model Context Protocol (MCP) server exposes commerce intelligence through a standard interface callable by any agent, on or off a retailer's site.

MACH Alliance president says agents have moved from pilots to production

Jason Cottrell, president of the MACH Alliance, said this year's award winners have taken agents out of pilot phases and into production with measurable results built on open, composable foundations.

Award adds to string of recent industry recognitions

Within the past year, Constructor has also received a MACH Alliance Agent Ready Award, been named to The Agentic List 2026, won recognition in the Champions in AI Awards and Global AI Awards for retail and ecommerce AI use, and was cited as a sample vendor for agentic commerce in the Gartner Hype Cycle for Agentic AI, 2026. The company was additionally named a Leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Search and Product Discovery, placing furthest in Vision and highest in Execution among evaluated vendors.

Eli Finkelshteyn, CEO and co-founder of Constructor, said AI agents are moving beyond experimentation to become part of how people shop and how ecommerce teams operate.
