Corgi Insurance Adds Veteran Executive Rob Barlow to Support Community Association Expansion

SHERIDAN, WYOMING -- July 12, 2026 -- Corgi Insurance announced the addition of Robert E. “Rob” Barlow Jr., a specialty insurance executive with more than 30 years of leadership experience, to support continued expansion across community association, condominium, homeowners association, and broader property and casualty markets. Barlow’s background in habitational and association-focused programs gives Corgi a senior commercial insurance leader with direct experience in broker-facing operations, program development, and national sales execution. The move places additional emphasis on Corgi’s strategy to modernize insurance infrastructure for specialized, underserved segments through faster underwriting, placement, and servicing capabilities. ##### Barlow joins during Corgi’s push into specialized association markets Corgi said Barlow will help support the company’s program expansion across community association, condominium, homeowners association, resort, active adult, high-rise, and related habitational risks. These segments often require specialized underwriting, broker relationships, and operational execution because coverage needs can vary by property type, governance structure, and risk profile. His appointment gives Corgi an executive resource with direct exposure to the commercial insurance programs and distribution channels that serve these markets. ##### Corgi is pairing market expertise with insurance infrastructure modernization Corgi positions itself as an AI-native insurance company focused on giving carriers, programs, and distribution partners infrastructure to underwrite, place, and service coverage faster than legacy systems allow. Barlow’s experience in specialty commercial insurance programs aligns with that operating model, particularly in markets where speed, coverage quality, and broker support can affect placement outcomes. The company said his role will help connect its technology platform with the needs of brokers, property owners, associations, and businesses. ##### Barlow brings recent experience building an insurance division from the ground up Most recently, Barlow held a leadership role at RealManage Insurance Services, where he helped build the company’s insurance division from the ground up. He contributed to $20 million of bound premium through focused sales execution and broker partnerships, according to Corgi. He also supported national operational expansion and helped develop insurance programs tailored to community associations, a market that depends heavily on specialized coverage placement and ongoing service. ##### His career includes senior roles across major brokerage organizations Barlow previously held senior leadership positions with Acrisure, NFP Property & Casualty, Brown & Brown Insurance, and Wachovia Insurance, now Wells Fargo. Across those organizations, he managed operations ranging from $1.5 million to $30 million in revenue, oversaw up to five offices and 52 employees, and led teams responsible for substantial annual new business production. Corgi said his background includes building a book of business to $20 million in annual insurance premium, improving operating efficiency through office integration and cost controls, and maintaining strong profit margins during market expansion. ##### Community association coverage requires execution under pressure Corgi described community association insurance as a specialized market where coverage quality, carrier relationships, and operational execution remain central to client outcomes. Barlow’s stated focus has included protecting clients with strong coverage solutions while managing pricing pressure, capacity constraints, and changing market conditions. His addition gives Corgi a senior leader with experience in both association insurance and broader brokerage operations, areas that are relevant as the company scales its platform. ##### Corgi’s leadership says Barlow’s perspective will support product development Nico Laqua, co-founder and CEO of Corgi, said Barlow’s record in community association insurance and brokerage operations makes him an important voice as the company builds products for complex, underserved market segments. Corgi said Barlow’s perspective will help the company better understand broker, property owner, association, and business needs as it scales. Barlow said he is excited to support Corgi’s use of technology, underwriting intelligence, and modern infrastructure to improve insurance experiences.
