Danone Names Krummenacher DACH General Manager From November 2026

Frankfurt – September 09, 2026 -- Danone has appointed Jean-Yves Krummenacher as General Manager for Germany, Austria and Switzerland (DACH), effective November 2026, succeeding Richard Trechman, who is leaving the company for an external role.

Krummenacher brings 25 years of internal Danone experience to the DACH post

The Swiss and French national most recently served as Global Chief Procurement Officer, overseeing Danone's worldwide procurement strategy while also managing the company's global trading and sourcing business as its chief executive. Earlier in his career he held leadership roles across Europe, Asia and Latin America spanning sales, procurement and sustainability functions.

New GM to prioritize brand portfolio growth and customer partnerships

In his new role, Krummenacher will steer Danone's growth strategy across the DACH region, with a mandate to strengthen market position, expand the brand portfolio and drive consumer-focused innovation. He will also be tasked with deepening customer partnerships across the value chain and building an internal culture supporting employee development.

"With our health-focused categories and strong brands, we have the best conditions to create value for customers and consumers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland," Krummenacher said, citing the importance of close partnerships across the value chain to accelerate sustainable growth.

Appointment ties into Danone's EMEA leadership structure

Krummenacher will join the regional leadership team for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), reporting to Pablo Perversi, President EMEA.
