Paris – October 14, 2026 -- Dilmah has reached the SIAL For Change final as one of just five large companies selected from 226 entries worldwide, while three of its products were also chosen for SIAL's innovation selection.
Three Dilmah products enter the SIAL Innovation Area
An independent jury of international food-industry experts judged entries on originality, technical innovation and sustainability impact. The selected products will be showcased in the dedicated SIAL Innovation Area:
- Dilmah Sparkling Iced Tea Collection (Consumer Goods category)
- Elevrie Non-Alcoholic Sparkling Tea Collection in White, Red and Rosé (Consumer Goods category)
- Windsor Forest Luxury Tea and Herb Collection (Equipment & Technology category), recognised for its home-compostable cotton tea bag
SIAL For Change narrows 226 entries to 20 finalists
The competition drew 226 entries, of which 122 were eligible. Five large companies and fifteen SMEs were selected as finalists.
Dilmah's finalist status recognises the model behind the MJF Charitable Foundation, established in 2002, and Dilmah Conservation, established in 2007. Together they channel 15% of the company's pre-tax profit into community welfare and environmental protection.
Chairman Dilhan C. Fernando said the recognition reflects a philosophy built by his father more than four decades ago: that "genuine innovation and genuine sustainability are the same pursuit."
Winners will be announced on 17 and 18 October 2026
Results for both competitions will be revealed at SIAL Paris's official Awards Ceremonies on those dates.
