Uniondale, N.Y. – September 22, 2026 -- Marquis Who's Who has recognized Nerrissa Williams, manager of release and application operations at The Walt Disney Company, for leadership in enterprise technology delivery spanning more than two decades.
Williams led a December 2023 SAP release that unlocked two Disney initiatives worth $170 million combined
The release served as a critical dependency for two enterprise projects valued at approximately $100 million and $70 million respectively. Its successful execution drew visibility across Disney's technology leadership and demonstrated the operational stakes tied to disciplined release management at a company coordinating rollouts across SAP, Workday, Coupa and Informatica.
Williams built her Disney career from a 2001 consulting engagement into a permanent role by 2005
She joined Disney as a Price Waterhouse consultant in 2001, continuing in the role after IBM acquired the firm's consulting and technology services division. In 2002, during Disney's global SAP implementation, she was tasked with creating a new position: SAP release manager. She also established a call center supporting more than 50,000 cast members during early phases of the SAP rollout, providing operational stability for the enterprise-wide deployment. Disney offered her a permanent position in 2005.
Williams holds engineering degrees from UC Berkeley and a master's from Stanford
She earned a Bachelor of Science in industrial engineering and operations research from the University of California Berkeley after starting in mechanical engineering at UCLA. She later completed a Master of Science in engineering economic systems at Stanford University, now known as management science and engineering. She holds certifications in ITIL, PMP and Product Management.
Williams aims to scale release management as an enterprise-wide discipline using AI
She now leads a team coordinating major releases across Disney's most critical enterprise applications and has stated her goal of strengthening release management practices company-wide, incorporating AI where practical, to support faster and more reliable business transformation. She also mentors students through programs including Girls Build, MESA, Disney VoluntEARS, Stanford's Beyond the Farm Children's Learning Fair and A New Day Foundation's technology and financial literacy conference.
