ENGIE Wins 2026 Green Power Award for Hourly Renewable Matching

Houston – September 17, 2026 -- ENGIE has won a 2026 Green Power Leadership Award for Market Innovation from the Center for Resource Solutions (CRS), recognizing its Energy+ 24/7 solution that matches renewable energy purchases to customers' hourly electricity consumption rather than annual totals.

ENGIE's Energy+ 24/7 platform introduces "temporality" to renewable procurement standards

The award, granted in one of CRS's most competitive categories, credits ENGIE with building on established market principles of additionality and locationality by adding a time-matching dimension. The approach aims to demonstrate that clean energy generation aligns with the same hours it is consumed, giving corporate buyers granular visibility into when and where their renewable power originates.

ENGIE North America CEO says hourly matching will define next-generation procurement

"As the market continues to evolve, we believe the future of renewable energy procurement lies in helping organizations better understand the impact of their electricity consumption and make more informed energy decisions," said Anne-Laure Chassanite, Interim Chief Executive Officer of ENGIE North America and CEO of ENGIE Resources. She said the 24/7 offering combines innovation with scalable solutions to support corporate sustainability targets.

US Energy+ team led by Taymur Bunkheila built the underlying solution

CRS specifically cited the contributions of ENGIE's US Energy+ team, led by Taymur Bunkheila, in developing the customer-facing tools behind the award-winning approach. The Green Power Leadership Awards recognize organizations and individuals advancing renewable energy markets and the broader transition to sustainable power systems.

ENGIE North America backs the offering with an 11 GW generation portfolio

Houston-based ENGIE North America operates or has under construction more than 11 GW of power generation, battery storage and flexible generation assets across the U.S. and Canada, representing $11 billion in capital employed. The unit is part of ENGIE, a global energy company with 98,000 employees across 30 countries and shares traded on the Paris and Brussels exchanges under ticker ENGI.
