Dublin – – October 01, 2026 -- Ensera, a global CDMO specializing in commercialization support for injectable drug programs, has launched the Ensera Alliance Network, uniting device platform and fill-finish specialists to streamline the commercialization of drug-device combination products.
Five specialist firms join the new coordination network
The network currently comprises injector platform providers SHL Medical, Stevanato Group and Ypsomed, alongside fill-finish specialists Argonaut Manufacturing Services and American Injectables. Ensera said it plans to expand the network over time by adding organizations whose capabilities and standards complement existing members.
Fragmented supplier handovers slow combination product launches
Bringing a combination product to market typically requires pharmaceutical companies to coordinate multiple specialist suppliers across device platforms, fill-finish, final assembly and packaging. Each handover between suppliers can add complexity and delay programs when responsibilities, processes and timelines are not aligned.
Ensera executives frame the network as a risk-reduction model
Bobby O'Connor, Chief Commercial Officer at Ensera, said too many combination product programs are slowed by disconnected suppliers and difficult handovers. He said the network brings trusted specialists together around a more coordinated, responsive model to help customers simplify commercialization, reduce risk and progress toward launch.
Darren Hieber, VP Alliance Partnerships at Ensera, said the network was built on established relationships and shared experience, allowing partners to identify challenges earlier and help customers navigate the transition to commercial supply.
Network participation remains non-exclusive for all members
Ensera confirmed that participation in the Alliance Network is non-exclusive. Ensera and the network participants remain independent organizations, and customers may engage each company directly and separately.
