Evoto Video brings portrait retouching directly into DaVinci Resolve timelines
The company's core retouching engine now runs as a plugin inside DaVinci Resolve Studio 19 and later, letting editors refine faces and skin without leaving the timeline or exporting to another application. A 30-second clip can contain more than 700 individual frames, and Evoto Video applies consistent corrections as subjects move and lighting shifts. New tools include Hair Shine, conservative teeth whitening, and Facial Fullness, which restores volume flattened by lens distortion and tracks the face as it turns. A Color Match feature lets editors set a reference still and apply consistent grading across clips shot on different cameras, locations and times in a single click.
Creator marketplace lets photographers sell presets and keep 60% of net sales
Asset Hub launches with more than 400 official assets as of September 21, 2026, and opens to creator submissions with no listing fee. Approved creators can price presets between $8 and $30, AI Looks between $49 and $199, and backdrops or skies between $2 and $8; AI Background Fusion submissions are not yet supported. Evoto is backing the program with a $500,000 Creator Reward Pool: photographers who join between September 22 and December 31, 2026 receive $50 once their first asset is approved and live, while the top 20 creators by campaign sales each collect an additional $100. Applications opened September 22 through Evoto's Asset Hub site, with creator submissions, review and earnings details opening September 29 and first payouts beginning in October. Any asset can be applied to a photographer's own image before purchase, with permission checked only at export.
Story-based culling reorganizes shoots before editing begins
Storyline Mode groups a shoot into chapters chosen by the photographer, leaving unclear frames unassigned rather than forcing them into place — addressing workflows such as a wedding photographer sorting roughly four thousand frames after a fourteen-hour shoot. General Mode groups visually similar images by subject or scene for list-based work including school photography, product shoots, real estate and events. Evoto surfaces the strongest frames within each chapter, but final selection remains with the photographer, and segment structure carries through to client delivery.
Platform processes 1.2 billion photographs as network expands to over 200 countries
Evoto has processed more than 1.2 billion photographs and supports 1.2 million professional photographers and 60,000 studios, according to figures presented at the launch event. The company's footprint grew from 158 countries at its 2025 launch to more than 200 countries and regions within twelve months. Evoto Desktop 8.0 also adds precision tools including freckle-preserving acne retouching, face shadow removal, clothing moiré removal, sweat stain removal and generative frame expansion, alongside a redesigned home screen and an in-app assistant, Evobot. Separately, the Evoto App now supports tethered capture directly to mobile devices, along with Hot Presets, Color Match and Motion Blur. From September 22 through December 31, customers purchasing an eligible Evoto Desktop plan or Cloud Storage package receive three months of complimentary access to Evoto Official Assets.
