Expert.ai Named Gartner Coolest Vendor for Agentic AI in Banking

Rockville, Md. – September 11, 2026 -- Expert.ai has been named one of five Coolest Vendors in Gartner's Coolest Vendor Innovations in Agentic AI for Banking, Part 1 report, published August 26, 2026.

Bank customers report 90% reduction in AML false positives

Expert.ai's AI suite is already deployed at 10 top banks in Italy and by global anti-money-laundering (AML) organizations, which report more than 90% screening accuracy. Customers cite a 90% reduction in AML false positives, up to 70% time savings per alert in KYC screening, and a 40% improvement in customer satisfaction.

Gartner projects banks deploying AI agents will double within 12 months

According to the 2026 Gartner CIO and Technology Executive Survey cited in the report, 41% of banks and 38% of investment service firms plan to deploy AI agents within the next 12 months, doubling current deployment levels. Gartner notes the industry focus has shifted from workflow automation experiments to engineering a trusted, scalable digital workforce capable of delivering measurable business value.

Neurosymbolic architecture limits large language model use to reduce cost and risk

Expert.ai's AI Mesh architecture combines knowledge graphs, deterministic linguistics, business rules and language models rather than relying on a single large language model for every task. Symbolic agents first classify content, resolve entities, apply policy rules and retrieve evidence; a language model is invoked only when text generation is required; a final symbolic check then links every output back to its source evidence. The company states this design gives banks greater control over AI agent actions, improves traceability, and reduces unnecessary large language model calls to manage AI operating costs at scale.

Platform covers KYC, sanctions screening and credit underwriting workflows

Expert.ai's vertical AI platform supports agentic applications across financial crime, risk and compliance, including domain-specific language models (DSLMs) for perpetual KYC, dynamic risk assessment, regulatory change management, adverse-media screening, and sanctions and politically exposed person (PEP) screening. The platform also addresses complaint management, credit underwriting, intelligent document processing and customer engagement through natural language understanding.

"We see this as a reflection of the trust our customers place in us to address some of the most complex challenges facing the banking and financial services industry," said Umberto Pardi, Chief Revenue Officer at Expert.ai.
